A note to parents and teachers: We've created this section of the virtual mission site to act as a starting point for discussions about medicine, science, cultures, and helping others. While not grade specific, who hope to provide information for all ages. Please feel free to look around all parts of the site and to share the experience with your children.

This website is like a diary written by a group of people. The people are doctors, nurses, and other men and women from towns like you live in. They are volunteering their time and their skills to help children in Venezuela. During this trip, also called admission, they will work with each other, and with doctors and nurses who live in Venezuela, to take care of the children who need help.

Venezuela is a country in South America. The children who are being helped are just like you. Some of them have medial problems that might make them look different, and that's what the volunteers are going to fix.

Venezuela is in the north part of South America.

The capital city of Caracas is south of New York City.

We'll add more information each day during the mission
