About Steven Frischling

Howdy, I am Steven E. Frischling, also know as Fish. Presently I am a Long Island based freelance photojournalist, who recently moved back to where I grew up in Valley Stream,Long Island...although I have lived and worked in a few cities and countries along the way. Much of my work has focused on hostile situations, but I also photograph alot of features, corporate work, and pretty much anything that appears before my lens. My first love will always be news (which might explain why I do not date much), and believe any day with a camera in my hand, or photographs in front of my eyes is better than any day doing anything else. News happens at the speed of life,and I love following it at twice the speed of life, but recently I have turned to slower feature projects, where the images are not so obvious, and a story can be told over time rather than an instant.
