| March 15, 1998 Sunday's B1 has been good to me again. A personal trip earlier in the week yielded enough decent images for today's paper. The package ran 5 columns wide and about 13 inches deep - a loverly space to fill with images of a loverly day. "From Dunes to Depot" - where sunlight and shadow dance across the slopes of the Mojave Preserve's Kelso Dunes as windblown shrubs etch strange designs in the sand. The frenzied tracks of kangaroo rats scamper hither and yon and a lonesome train whistle echoes from afar. And as always, the never-still wind erases all to begin the patterns anew. |
