I find it interesting to see where people work - besides in the field where one fire looks like another and one yellow tarp covering another body under a smushed car looks the same everywhere.

The top of my 'puter - most of the important things in life - toys, more toys, a cute soap duckie, lava rock and rocks I have polished.

But where we work - at our desks - in the newsroom or darkroom or whatever - fascinates me. So I am posting this journal with pics of MY work space to see what people think.

Can you tell what kind of person someone is by their work space? By their house? Hey, by their car? Or how clean it all is? Or not?

Clues to our inner selves abound - desks, cars, houses, purses. You name it - all windows to the psyche.

My main desk - I have two - one holds the stuff that won't fit on the main desk. More of life's essentials - Happy Meals from MickeyD's, cd music player to drown out the noise around me - battery charger upper, canned air, coffee mugs, vitamins (B for STRESS) and papers filed by the archeological method - oldest things on the bottom. And of course all the computer accoutrement.

 

Behind my desk - wildflower identification chart, a USGS quadrangle So Cal map and "hunk of the month" pic taken of a firefighter at...what else?...a fire.
