I have a Google alert set for my last name.
I suppose you could call it vanity. My author friend, Ronnie Garrison, has one as well and he often finds his copyright material “borrowed” on a Web site.
But in the last few days, the media and blogs have been mispelling Tiger Wood’s wife’s name with enough frequency to send my Google alerts ringing. Tiger’s wife is Nordegren, without the middle “n”. What’s been fun are the casual misspellings in some of the Swedish media, I would think they know better, but hey.
For what it is worth, my limited understanding of the name origin is one means “North of the woods” and the other means “In the North woods” and a third similar name Nordgren means “north woods’ If you know more, or better, I’d be interested in hearing from you.
